Tough Creatures
Did you know that there are two types of camel, bactrian and dromedary? The dromedary camel is pretty much only a domesticated animal nowadays, and is distinct with having only one hump on its back. The bactrian, meanwhile has two humps. In any case, camels are really tough creatures, and can survive for months without food and a week or so without water, even in harsh desert climates! We doubt that you’re crossing a desert to get to that costume party you were invited to, but even if it is a short walk, this Adult Ride in Camel Costume would be a most excellent symbol of the trip you endured to get there.
And once you get to the costume party, you can tell people how special a creature a camel really is! Tell them the name of yours (Walter) and hit them with facts, like camels are very social creatures, and sometimes male camels form bachelor herds (which sounds a lot like college kids). It'll be a huge hit!
Fun Details
The camel in this costume won’t even spit at you (which is a real thing camels do when they feel threatened or uncomfortable about something). How's that for a bargain? In this outfit, your legs will fit into the camel’s hind legs...the rest of the camel and the “rider” are stuffed. Elastic shoulder straps hold the body in place and reins allow for you to direct where the camel faces. Note: the pictured robe and headdress shown in the photo are not included, so make sure to have an accessory ready to complete the look however you desire!
Oasis Party!
People may get sick of you talking about camels all night, but hey, just ignore them the same way camels can ignore sandstorms—with a thin, clear membrane over your eyes! Or if that doesn’t work, just travel on to the next party; it'll be a welcoming oasis of new people to entertain. Traveling is what camels are best at, after all.
