Arizona Cardinals Women's Cowl Neck Hooded Sweatshirt
Did you know that the Arizona Cardinals is the oldest pro-football team in continuous existence in the United States? It’s true!
They haven’t always been a part of Arizona, however. The Cardinals were founded in 1898 by the Morgan Athletic Club in Chicago, and - while this piece of info might totally blow your mind a little bit - they were named the Cardinals because of the color of their jerseys. The Cardinals joined the NFL in 1920, and they stayed in Chicago until 1959. In 1960 the Cardinals moved to the Show-Me State and were then officially-known as the St. Louis Cardinals from 1960–1987. After that, they were the Phoenix Cardinals from 1988–1993, and then finally, they were named the Arizona Cardinals in 1994, and continue to make their professional football home at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
And even though they’ve only made on Super Bowl appearance (2009, where they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, which is kind of poetic, no? A cardinal going up against an eagle? Nevermind, sore subject!), much like their history and location, everything could change on a dime! That’s why we think you should freshen up your football gear this season with this Arizona Cardinals Women's Cowl Neck Hooded Sweatshirt!
